Mater Dei aims to create a centre of excellence in the provision of effective and efficient, acute patient centred quality care. It also aims to a​chieve high levels of patient and staff satisfaction and enhance teaching, research and innovation.

 Mater Dei Hospital Revised Visiting Hours.

Monday to Sunday (including Public Holidays):

Morning 11:30 - 13:00
Afternoon 15:00 - 20:00

Two visitors per patient are allowed to visit the patient at any one time.
Visitors are always required to wear a mask
Visitors should not visit if they are sick or know they were recently exposed to a respiratory illness.
The Paediatrics visiting hours are as follows:
1 parent/guardian 24/7
Both parents/guardians between midday and 8pm
In addition to the parents/guardians, 1 visitor per patient between 4pm and 6pm

 Use of masks at Mater Dei Hospital.

Use of masks at Mater Dei Hospital effective 1st July:

Masks are no longer obligatory in hospital corridors, main reception area, public canteen, under and postgraduate education centres and conference halls.

However, they are still legally required and should continue to be worn upon entrance to wards and departments where patient care is being provided (e.g. wards, outpatients, theatre, medical imaging department). This applies to hospital staff, patients and visitors.

In out-patient clinics, face coverings should be worn upon entrance to the clinic as well as in waiting areas within these clinics.
