ENT Outpatients (ENTOP) is located on the first floor of the Outpatients Department.

This Outpatient clinic offers services to patients suffering from ear, nose, neck and throat ailments as well as hearing loss, dizziness and tinnitus.
ENT OP also offers a surgical hearing restoration service which include the cochlear implant, each consultant has a team of doctors who assist him during the clinics.

How to make a New Case appointment with ENT Outpatients

Referrals are sent to the Main Reception by post or by hand at the Main Reception in the Foyer.
Clients are to check that their ID. No, address and telephone/mobile No on their referral letter are correct. If a client wishes to be seen by a particular consultant, he/she should write the consultant's name on the referral ticket.
Once at ENTOP the referrals are vetted by the consultants, and appointments are sent to the patients by post. No appointments for follow-ups or new cases can be done by phone.

How to make a Follow-Up Appointment with ENT Outpatients

Follow-up appointments are done at the ENTOP reception after a patient has been seen by a consultant.
Follow-ups from ENT Ward are done upon patient's discharge. A blue ticket with appointment details is sent by post to the patient.
N.B. Requests for changes to appointments can be made by either sending the blue ticket by post or in person by coming to ENTOP (or sending a representative).

Renewal of Schedule V and Other Permits

Renewals of Schedule V and DTC permits are handled by the ENT OP on the day of the patient's consultant clinic. Applications are returned to the patient for renewal at the respective department.

Referral to Rehabilitation Services

Speech and Audiology: Referrals to Speech Therapy and Audiology are handled from the clinic (Monday to Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm).
The members of the staff who will look after you while visiting this clinic are led by Dr Andrew Sciberras ( Allied health practitioner –Audiology )
N.B. Follow-up appointments for Audiology are given by the Audiology unit. Appointments for Hearing Aid impression and fitting are also handled by Audiology section. Patients are also referred to Audiology Department from Paediatric Clinics for neonatal screening and also from the Armed Forces of Malta.
