Engineering Services

The Foundation for Medical Services holds a range of competencies in both bio-medical and building-services engineering. The overriding objective of the Foundation is to provide solutions that reduce the generation of pollution at source; and that equally minimise any risk to human health and the environment.

The Foundation for Medical Services can provide building services engineering expertise in the following areas:

  •    Energy supply - electricity; gas; and renewable sources;
  •    Vertical transportation systems (lifts);
  •    Fire detection and suppression;
  •    Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC);
  •    Lightning protection
  •    Low voltage (LV) systems; distribution boards; and related switchgear;
  •    Natural and artificial lighting;
  •    Security and protection systems;
  •    Refrigeration;
  •    Water; drainage; and plumbing;
  •    Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) infrastructure.

Foundation engineers contribute towards the efficient operation of healthcare infrastructure – particularly in emerging technology areas, such as renewable energy sources.
